They called it “gang attire” and confiscated it! How stupid is that??  Meanwhile, on campus I see girls dressed as sluts in training. My DD is always dressed modestly and is covered. What the heck.

#1 A missile hit the pentagon – not a 747 plane.  The pentagon, the building in the U.S with the highest security can’t provide a video even the quality of traffic light videos. There is ONE video in existence, that shows the nose of “something” going toward the pentagon and then an instant explosion at the pentagon, no plane parts anywhere, and the hole was just 16 feet in diameter, from the ground. Pictures and video show no wing or tail marks, no wing parts.  So maybe the whole plane just disintegrated . Then how did it get so far into the pentagon, through layers of steel and concrete?

#2 The “planes” that hit the twin towers were not planes at all, but guided missiles with wings.  There was a flash immediately, upon the nose impacting with the buildings. No windows were visible on the plane, and no American Airlines logo or name. Spectators said there was some sort of blue circle at the nose of the plane – that’s all. Nobody heard the planes coming, even though they were 747’s flying much lower than usual. Nobody had advance warning of these planes being off their flight pattern, even though the air force had been “sent” (in the wrong direction).  Additionally, the “plane” when viewed clearly is not smooth on the bottom like a 747 – but has ridges and a long bump on the bottom.

#3 I’ve always known this, but it’s worth mentioning anyway. All three of the buildings in New York that fell that day were demolished the same way a demo crew demolishes any building. They all fell down perfectly, top to bottom. Furthermore, building 7 (supposedly too damaged by the  other buildings falling) was admitted to be demolished on purpose, and fell the exact same way as the twin towers, top to bottom.  Straight down. This particular fact is not that disturbing to me, and sort of understandable, because those huge towers would have taken out several blocks of buildings and people.  

I don’t know what the explanation is with regards to the missing airplanes – but I do know that the government is able to “create” people, and make people disappear.  Why couldn’t they create flight numbers?  I DO believe people died. I just don’t think it happened the way we have been led to believe.

As most anyone knows, my favorite color is red – I don’t wear red, but I love to have red things! The other day, I ordered two red items for my kitchen. I got one red Kapoosh. A Kapoosh is a knife block – but I don’t have to put the knives in specific places because of the way this wonderful thing is designed! I can put the knives side-ways, diagonally, or even upside down (If I wanted to lose a hand!). I can even put my scissors in it. Yay for keeping the knives out of the drawer. The other thing I got was a red KitchenAid kettle. Awesome. ’nuff said.

I’ve started cooking a lot more. I even had to get spice shelves. Trouble is, my tiny kitchen is getting awfully crowded!

Oh, and a while back we finally got a new sofa! Here it is, being used as we knew it would be…

Our other dog, Shaggy cost $55 for a full groom. AND I learned something I never knew before! Did you know that small dogs collect “juice” in their anal gland that actually has to be extracted? (bigger dogs usually get rid of this on their own). Yucky, I know – but these folks take care of that and they save you a vet bill!   So anyway, the total came to $68+tip and we walked out an hour later, happy. Before this, we had been going to Petco - Petco does a decent job at a decent price (about $40) but it takes all darned day! Poor shaggy has to sit in a cage while groomers go nuts trying to keep track of what dog they are working on.  No thanks! I think we are going to be lifetime customers of Scrubby Puppy!

Sam the Dog!

It’s been a while since I wrote anything on this page, and part of the reason is Sam the dog! We found Sam (Samantha) online on Craigslist. A family was moving and couldn’t take her with them, so we got her for free. We brought her home about 3 months ago, and she’s been keeping us going nonstop ever since! She’s a very sweet dog, but she’s young, and she has a bit of a weak bladder. We take her out at least 4 times a day – sometimes 6 depending on how much she eats and drinks. Isn’t she cute??

We are going to have her DNA tested to see what sort of breed she is. She’ll be 2 years old in January 2010. Her I.D Chips says she’s a Rott mix – but that’s a bunch of bull. The lady we got her from says she’s a Min Pin mix – and maybe she is. My daughter thinks maybe she’s a Manchester Terrier / Beagle mix. She might be right! In a couple of months, we’ll know for sure. For now, here’s some pictures of Sam the dog!

My daughter and I went all the way up the stairs in that old building. Ok, I lied. I went up halfway – she went all the way and would have gone up on the roof but the door was locked. During the book festival, she got away and went and found the dean to discuss degree options. What a kid…

Then I spread all the food out on the table to see what we actually got. It was all there. The onions were rotten and had to be thrown out, and the “california blend” veggies were just diced carrots.

Tonight we had potatoes and chicken. It feels good know that we have enough groceries for a couple of weeks, without having to spend a fortune. I do believe we will try this again in April. I think we might even buy a full months worth next time. I think I like to pick out my own produce, but all in all,  I can’t really complain.

Just watch me.

So, No letter – and stupid management won’t talk to anyone. So I’m stuck. Not quite sure what to do. Even if I wait until management issues a 3 day notice, it won’t be on letterhead. Ugh.
